What would I have done without the internet?

Sitting outside at the balcony of my new apartment and sipping from a hot cup of coffee, I wonder, as I look at the overcast sky, what would I have done had I not found this beautiful studio apartment? Yes, it was just a month back that I was under so much stress and anxiety regarding my sudden transfer to Edinburgh. I work for a publishing house and as part of my promotion and title appraisal; I was transferred to Edinburgh to come and set-up an office here.

My boss trusted me so much that he gave me the entire responsibility of the new office and wanted me to join as soon as possible. I was elated at the promotion but was at the same time skeptical about going to a new place and topping my list of worries was the fact that I had to look for a new place to stay. As fussy as I am, it is difficult for a person like me to accept change and house hunting to me is one of the most difficult things to accomplish. Thanks to internet, I managed to accomplish this nearly impossible task well in time.

A friend suggested that I go online and run a check on the best available properties in Edinburgh and the neighborhood. I did the same, but another important thing my friend told me was to type in the write keywords and key phrases. My friend told me that I should use keywords like Flats to let Edinburgh or letting agent Edinburgh. I used both the keywords and the one, which threw back maximum results, was the keyword flats to rent Edinburgh.

Now after having finished step one to finding the right place to stay I had to perform step two. The friend had suggested that I carefully look at the credentials of each and every prospective place that throws up on search. Whether an estate agent or the homeowner has made the posting directly, it was important that I do my research first. Therefore, I chose five most suitable locations and called the custodians of those locations personally to learn more about the place.

My specifications where location, rent, space, and natural light inside the apartment. After speaking to all the five custodians, I narrowed down on final three that came closest to my specifications. When I had satisfactorily spoken to each of the three custodians of the place, I decided to first do a search online on the neighbourhood and then decide which pace to choose. After my complete research and one site visit, I found this spacious east-facing apartment and today I am in love with my home and my work is going great. Thanks to internet.
